Without any, it is more difficult to tell if a roommate is not helping to keep their home clean. There are some reservations here. But even if you and your roommates decide to share rent and pensions fairly, you should still have a clause in your roommate contract. Then there should be a minimum of confusion when it comes to paying your landlord and your services. The answer is brief: perhaps. What if you don`t? In these situations – if a relationship with roommates deteriorates and lawyers are involved – you will be very, very happy to have something you can use.

For example, if the lease allows smoking indoors, can roommates smoke in the living room or in their rooms?
